DJI Drone Application of boron fertilizer to rapeseed
Feb 2020
Prevent sclerotinia sclerotiorum
Agras T16
In the spring of 2020, the temperature was higher, the rainfall amount was larger, and the risk of rape sclerotia is bigger than usual.
On February 14th, the Sichuan UAV custom farming team helped his customer’s 100 acres of rapeseed to apply boron fertilizer and rape sclerotia.
Operating parameters
Crop Name | Rapeseed | Weather/Wind | Cloudy/ 4-16℃/Wind Level 1 |
Amount per acre | 9L/acre | Land Condition | Hillside |
Speed | 6M/S | Operation Mode | AB fly mode |
Row distance | 5M | Altitude | 2M |
Parametric analysis
The shape of the operation plot is relatively regular, and the operation is carried out in the AB point mode. The flight speed is set to 6 meters to ensure operational efficiency. The routing width is 5 meters. This time the amount of mixture used is relatively large, so the higher Acre dosage of 9 liters was chosen.
Dosage Information
50% carbendazim wettable powder 600g/acre, liquid boron fertilizer 3000g/acre, 0.0016% brassinolide 120g/acre.
Carbendazim is a broad-spectrum fungicide, which has the dual effects of protecting and curing various fungal diseases. It can be used for foliar spray, seed treatment, and soil treatment.
In this case, the main use of sclerotium disease that has not yet occurred is to play the protective effect of carbendazim. Brassinolide is a new type of green and environmentally friendly plant growth regulator, which can promote the growth of rapeseed, improve the quality, increase the yield, and make the crops brighter in color and thicker by spraying with appropriate concentrations of stems and leaves.
Since the DJI AG drone fully protects the crops from crushing, and at the same time the effect is very good, the grower has given a thumbs up to the drone’s control efficiency and operation effect.
Introduction to Pests and Diseases
Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is one of the important diseases in rape production. The incidence rate of perennial plants is as high as 10% to 30%. It can occur during the entire growth period, and it occurs most severely during the fruiting period. Stems, leaves, flowers, and siliques can all be affected, and the stems are the most affected. Light brown water-stained lesions appear on the stems after infection and then develop into long striped spots with a round pattern with brown edges. When the humidity is high, there will be cotton-like white hyphae on the surface. Black rat fecal sclerotia. The diseased leaves showed irregular water-soaking shape at the beginning, and then formed yellowish-brown central, dark blue peripheral, and light yellow peripheral spots. The siliques are infected with water-stained brown spots at the beginning, and then turn gray and white, and the seeds are thin and dull.
According to observations, rape sclerotia disease usually occurs twice, once in late November to December, and once in March to April of the following year (this period coincides with the susceptible flowering period of rapeseed, and it is also the victim of rape. The main period), if there is rainy, humid, and warm weather during this period, the rape sclerotinia disease will be serious.
Boron fertilizer can promote the growth and fruiting of rapeseed, and ensure the nutrient requirements of the plants during the flowering period. Severe boron deficiency can cause diseased rapeseed plants to shrink and die. When there is moderate to mild boron deficiency, rape cannot produce normal results. Foliar spraying of boron fertilizer can choose the late seedling period (before and after flower bud differentiation) and bolting period (stalk height 15-30 cm), and apply it two times. It is better to spray before 10 am or after 4 pm on a sunny day.
